In 2018 Ontic Health & Fitness will be making some changes and restructuring / reinventing itself from the 1st of February 2018.
After lengthy consideration and rental negotiations, we have decided to focus into the future on becoming a more niche and member exclusive Boutique Fitness Studio.
In doing this we will be scaling back our shop footprint from the 3 shops we currently lease to one. After much negotiation we have now agreed on a new 3 + 3-year lease on that shop.
Many of you that have been with us over the last 6 and a half years will remember that this is how we started out and we have now come full circle back to our core.
Our focus in the future will being an exclusive 24-hour Fitness Studio and Altitude Training.
Altitude will continue as normal however we will be more focused and active in our marketing and building of the Altitude client base especially with Athletes, Weight loss, trekking and altitude destination clients.
The Fitness studio will cater for clients that enjoy a nice quite place to work out that’s in a comfortable and save environment without the pressure and overcrowded frustrations that come with other gyms, with this in mind we will be capping the membership numbers to the Fitness Studio to keep it more exclusive, less crowed and member friendly.
Our current member base has us already very close to that cap (only 37 new memberships available) and will only be taking very limited Fitness Studio memberships in the future, if and when they become available.
To help with the exclusivity after 1st of February 2018 our membership price will dramatically increase for new members.
For current members or members that sign up before the 1st of February2018, pricing will remain the same as it is now for as long as you are a member.

The set up in the future shop will be, the Altitude room as it currently is at the rear of the shop and then front part of the shop will be the Fitness Studio.
In the Fitness Studio the major items we will have are:
CARDIO
2 treadmills
1 cross trainers
2 bikes
1 rowing machine
1 step machine
WEIGHTS
1 Smith Machine and bench
1 Multipurpose weights machine
1 Chest Press Machine
1 Dip and Chin up Machine
1 Leg press Machine
1 Lat pull down and seated row
1 Ab crunch machine
1 Set of dumbbells from 1 to 25kg
Various Barbells and weights.
As you can see we will have most items that you currently use, and you won’t be missing out on anything other than it will be in a smaller space.
We will no longer offer the Fitness Studio space to schools or large groups to uphold the exclusivity.
Personal training will be available to members and we will have only two Ontic personal trainers working from the studio.
We also recognise that customers are looking for more convenience so with the restructure we will also be changing the way we conduct business and moving more to an online work place.
From the 1st of February all memberships, suspensions and cancelations will be via online forms on our website.
By providing this convenience 24 hours a day via our website we are creating more flexibility for customers.
We will have staff on site however there will be no set staffed hours. Door access will be with your current Tokens. The Fitness studio will be available 24 hours a day and the Altitude room hours will be 5am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 7pm weekends. All new memberships will have a compulsory initial Consult which is when their token will be supplied.
Altitude, PT or general consults will be booked by phone, email or via the website, we are installing a new phone system so that calls can be taken remotely by an on-call staff member between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Security will be increased with 8 cameras, monitoring 24 hours a day and two emergency panic buttons located in the premises.
Work will start on the change over from the 8th of January, with the goal to be finished by the 31st of January. We will still be operating during this time and hope to have minimal disturbance to your workout routines.
