Frequently asked Questions:

 

Q: If I am a member at Wellington Point, can I access the Springwood Ontic Health & Fitness club?

Yes, reciprocal memberships are available, these allow you to sign up at your home gym but have access to both gyms. Please see reception for more details and pricing. Alternatively, you can email your query via our online submission form online submission form 

 

 Q: What is the minimum age you have to be to join an Ontic Health & Fitness club?

All members under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian complete and sign your pre-exercise questionnaire, as well as any relevant paperwork.

Aged 12-14: Members or guests between the age of 12 & 14 of age may only train in arranged Group, Altitude or Personal Training sessions, with Ontic Health & Fitness trained staff members or under the direct and close contact supervision of a parent or guardian over the age of 18. NO WEIGHT-BASED OR RESISTANCE TRAINING.

Aged 14-16: Members or guests between 14 and 16 years of age must not do weight-based or resistance training activities unless training in arranged Group, Altitude or Personal Training, with Ontic Health & Fitness trained staff members or under the direct personal and close contact supervision of a parent or guardian over the age of 18.

Aged 16-18: For members we strongly recommend that you complete a free initial consultation with one of our personal trainers to develop a suitable exercise program for you. For guests we strongly recommend that you complete a paid consultation with one of our personal trainers to develop a suitable program for you. We may specify programs, classes and activities you can do without your parent or guardian’s supervision.

 
 
Q: Can I put my membership on hold?

Yes, suspension is available for a minimum period of two weeks. Notifications of all suspensions must be provided at least 7 working days prior to the intended commencement date. A fee of $5 per week is applied to suspend your membership. This amount is payable in advance on pre-paid memberships or non-direct debit clients. Direct debit clients will have their suspension fees directly debited.

Please note: Membership suspension fees do not contribute to the total minimum membership fee.

 Q: How do I cancel my membership?

Direct Debit Members:

Fixed term Memberships:

1. Cancellation of membership can only occur after the minimum membership term has elapsed.

2. Complete an Ontic Health & Fitness Resignation Request Form.

3. Arrange to finalise any outstanding membership and or collection fees either by continued direct debit payments or as a one off payment for full and final settlement.

4. Make a full payment, equivalent to that of 4 weeks of applicable membership payments.


Flexi Memberships:

1. Complete an Ontic Health & Fitness Resignation Request Form.

2. Arrange to finalise any outstanding membership and or collection fees for full and final settlement.

3. Make a payment of the $150.00 cancellation fee.

Up Front Pre-Paid Members:

There are NO re-imbursements on pre-paid memberships after the cooling off period.

Q: Can I bring a friend along to the club?

Definitely, your friends and family are more than welcome to workout with you. Guest passes are available for as little as $15/session or alternatively 12 and 24 pack passes can be purchased.

Q: Do I need to bring my own towel?

As part of our rules, we require that you use a towel during your training session to wipe down the equipment after you have used it. This is to ensure that the equipment is sweat-free for the next member. Don’t worry if you forget to bring your towel, towel hire is available for a small fee.

 

Q: How can I book in with a Personal Trainer?

If you are interested in Personal Training, make sure you speak to the staff at Reception. They will be able to put you in touch with a Personal Trainer that will best suit your needs.

Q: If I have any queries about membership or the club, who do I speak to?

Ontic Health & fitness staff members are happy to help with any questions or feedback that you may have. If you would prefer to speak to the Club Manager, please let reception know. If the Club Manager isn’t immediately available the reception team will ensure you are contact by them as soon as possible.
